First Solid Baby Food 4 First Solid Baby Food
help...first solid food?

I'm anxious to give my baby his first solid food. I've always heard, and his docter says, that you can start them at 4-6 months of age. But would that be in weeks or by month date? He's 16 weeks old now, but should I wait another week until the day of his birth or should that matter? Also, what would be better to start out with, baby cereal or a small jar of stage one food?

Everyone will tell you something different but I am a mother of two and I oldest is 3 years old and I started feeding her baby food at 3 1/2 months and she is fine and my youngest is 6 months old and she started baby cereal at about 3 months so you do it when you think your child is ready! And you should start with rice cereal and go from there!! go to www.gerber.com and they will give you some tips of feeding an infant!!

So, to answer your question it would be fine to go ahead and start him on cereal! Good luck!
